There are lot’s of lovely cafe’s, bars and restaurants within easy reach of Moss Wood Caravan Park, where you can enjoy a bite to eat or drink after a busy day. Whether you’re looking for a delicious 3 course meal, traditional pub grub or a tasty takeaway – we’re certain you’ll find something you’ll enjoy nearby.

The Priory

The Priory in Scorton is a firm favourite for touring guests and holiday home owners at Moss Wood Caravan Park. This popular eatery has a cafe bar and restaurant, making it the perfect place to pop in for a quick coffee and pastry or a full 3 course meal. Visitors will be greeted with a warm welcome and a friendly atmosphere and looked after by the team of attentive staff. There’s plenty of seating areas to enjoy, including outdoor to make the most of a warm summers day. In the winter, get cosy in front of the two wood burning fires.

The chefs are committed to using locally sourced ingredients and there are a wide selection of menu items available, including contemporary dishes as well as traditional favourites! Previous guests have commended the restaurant’s generous portions, so you might not want to eat too much before you go!

The Patten Arms

The Patten Arms is less than 10 minutes drive from Moss Wood Caravan Park, making it a convenient place to eat during your stay. They are renowned locally for their Sunday roast, but we know from personal experience, you’ll love everything you try! In addition to an extensive selection on the regular menu, there’s an ever changing list of specials as well as delicious puddings to sample!

The cosy pub is great for couples, families or groups. Best of all, they’re dog friendly, so your four-legged friend can come too! The large outdoor seating area and beer garden is ideal for warm weather and socialising with friends! We highly recommend booking in advance as it can get busy, especially in the height of the season!

Elletson Arms

If you’re in the Preston area, make sure you visit the Elletson Arms, a traditional pub serving homemade British cuisine. It’s located in the village of Pilling, and the extensive menu and delicious dishes on offer make it a popular choice with visitors to our park. Our guests always commend their good food, lovely ambience and polite and helpful staff.

If you read the reviews, you’ll see the gammon steak is a firm favourite as is their famed meat platter and mezze board.

The Manor Inn

The Manor Inn in Cockerham is an excellent choice if you’re looking for somewhere to eat near the park. The country pub serves an excellent Sunday roast, alongside other pub classics such as burgers and sandwiches. Dogs are welcome and there is also a beer garden to the rear of the pub if you wish to sit outside.

The team at the Manor Inn have an excellent reputation for their customer service. They are known for being incredibly helpful and friendly.

Barn at Scorton

While away a leisurely afternoon at the Barn at Scorton. Spend some time browsing the garden centre and the extensive gift shop before enjoying a cup of tea or a bite to eat at the coffee bar. They serve a variety of refreshing drinks, including specialist teas, coffees, milkshakes and smoothies as well an extensive lunch menu of light bites, including baked potatoes, burgers, fish and chips and sandwiches as well as their famous scones!

If you’re after something a little more filling, the fully licensed bar and restaurant is a wonderful place to eat. There’s a grill menu as well as daily specials from around the world.

Lock Keepers Rest

The Lock Keepers Rest, on the way in to Glasson Dock is a nice little outdoor cafe if you’re looking for somewhere to eat or drink. It does a nice range of snack foods and light lunches and hot and cold drinks. The seating area is outside which is great in nice weather – probably less so if it’s raining though! One of our team members, Neil particularly likes their range of burgers.
